This is an antique wooden storehouse door (*kura-do*) that commands attention with its substantial thickness and historic Japanese iron fittings. **Deeply textured wood and rich color:** The surface has developed a deep, subdued, red-lacquer-like tone over time, showcasing a striking and expressive wood grain. **Imposing Japanese iron hardware:** It features rugged, heavy-duty locking hardware (combining the keyhole and pull handle) that instantly anchors the atmosphere of any space. **Sturdy rear construction:** The back is reinforced with solid horizontal bracing, a testament to the expert craftsmanship that has allowed it to endure for generations. It is highly sought after as a main entrance for renovated traditional homes or as an authentic antique fixture in new builds and commercial spaces. It also makes a stunning wall display or partition, exuding an overwhelming presence even when simply leaned against a wall.
