This is a stately and elegant British antique oak writing bureau. It features beautiful "bulbous" legs?hand-carved in the traditional British melon (spherical) style?that exude the commanding presence unique to fine antiques. The functional desk area reveals a spacious writing surface when the front panel is lowered; the desktop is inlaid with high-quality leather, while the interior is equipped with a partitioned rack and small drawers for organizing letters and documents. It offers ample storage, with two deep drawers at the base that neatly accommodate clothing, papers, and stationery, accented by antique drop-style metal pulls. While perfect for British classic or vintage-style interiors, it is also highly popular as a distinctive statement piece in "Japanese-modern" spaces or homes featuring a traditional folk-house aesthetic.

The items we handle are extremely old.
While we clean, repair, and repaint them after receiving them, no item is perfect.
These items are not suitable for those seeking new items or those who are overly particular.
We would appreciate it if only those who appreciate the value of "wabi-sabi" and "old folk art" would purchase them.
