This is a "stacked-style" Yonezawa chest (*kasane Yonezawa-tansu*) crafted in the Yonezawa region of Yamagata Prefecture between the Meiji and Taisho eras. It features intricate cherry blossom motifs meticulously engraved onto the keyplates and corner fittings.
