A luxurious wheeled chest of drawers from 147 years ago. The back of the drawer has an inscription in ink dating to Meiji 12 (1879). It has a great atmosphere even just as a display piece when used as a storage chest. In the Edo period, large fires were frequent, and wheeled chests were rolled along to evacuate, causing traffic jams and exacerbating the damage, leading to the issuance of a "ban on wheeled chests." This type of chest of drawers flourished in the Meiji era. Only the drawers with their respective keys are compatible. The other drawers are unlocked.
