This antique Shinshu-style chest of drawers dates back to the Meiji period. Its impressive presence is undeniable. Because chests have wheels on the bottom, they were useful for packing belongings and evacuating during the Edo period, when fires were common. However, traffic jams caused by chests of drawers led to major disasters, and at one point, a ban on chests of drawers was issued. This has made them a rare item. It does not have a key. There is a scuff mark on the lower left corner. Please check the images and video for signs of deterioration.
