【商品説明】SEIKO SONOLA（セイコー ソノーラ）とは、1960年代（昭和40年代頃）にセイコーが製造・販売していた、トランジスタ式の柱時計（掛け時計）で、機械式からクォーツ式へ移行する過渡期に登場したレトロな時計です。電磁誘導の原理で振り子を動かす「電磁振子式」を採用しており、電池（単1形2本）で動作し、正時になると時刻の数だけポーンポーンと和音で時報を鳴らすのが特徴で、ゼンマイ巻きの手間がないことから人気を博しました

The SEIKO SONOLA is a transistor-based grandfather clock (wall clock) manufactured and sold by Seiko in the 1960s (around the 1960s). It's a retro timepiece that emerged during the transition from mechanical to quartz movements. It uses an "electromagnetic pendulum" system, which uses the principle of electromagnetic induction to move the pendulum. It runs on two D batteries and chimes the hourly time with a chord-like chime for each hour. Its popularity stemmed from the fact that it eliminates the need for winding.
