This antique round paulownia wood brazier dates from the Taisho to early Showa period. Removing the copper plate reveals that the interior carvings were done by hand with a hatchet, not by machine. It's a labor-intensive piece. While still in use as a brazier, caution is advised when using it near open flames and ventilation. It can also be used as a small item holder, planter cover, or wine cooler. Please check the images and videos for signs of deterioration.
