A rare copper pot steamer from the early Showa period. It's still in use. While the verdigris on copper pots was previously thought to be harmful, it's actually a natural rust formed by copper oxidation. In 1984, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare declared it harmless. However, leaving it for extended periods can cause discoloration and a change in flavor, so it's recommended to wash it promptly after cooking and transfer it to another container. Please check the images and videos for signs of deterioration.
