【商品説明】天然木 総欅造 ローテーブル 座卓 昭和後期 分厚い欅一枚板のため、重量あります。「欅」の語源は、「けやけきき」からきている。 けやけきとは、目立つ・ひときわ優れているという意味で、強靭で耐久性に優れ、また美しい木目を持つことから、日本国内でも最良の木材として活用されてきた。 古木の中には杢と呼ばれる、装飾性の高い模様を持つ物が多い。ケヤキは非常に硬く、耐性が高いのが特徴です。 硬いがゆえに加工には高い技術を要します。 乾燥が済んだ材はねじれなどの狂いが出にくく非常に強靭で耐久性があるため、日本家屋や社寺仏閣として活用されています。 また見た目の美しさもケヤキの特徴であり人気が高い理由のひとつです。
