【商品説明】昭和レトロな折り畳み丸ちゃぶ台 1940-50年代
卓袱台（ちゃぶだい）とは、日本の家具のひとつで、四本脚を持つ円形の座卓のこと。一般的に方形あるいは円形をしており、折り畳みができるものが多い。
明治時代に普及し始め、昭和初期には日本の家庭で広く使われていました。当時は、床に座って食事をするのが一般的で、卓袱台は、家族や親戚が集まって食事をしたり、茶道や囲碁などの遊びを楽しんだりするのに使われていました。
しかし、昭和35年ごろから椅子式のダイニングテーブルが普及し始め、卓袱台の使用は減少していきました。現在では、伝統的な和室や、茶道や囲碁などの遊びを楽しむための家具として、一部で使われているという状況です。
