【商品説明】「栃」一枚板天板の両面引き出しローテーブル 1920年代。厚手の一枚板天板は貴重な栃材です。栃材とは、トチノキ科トチノキ属の落葉広葉樹から採れる木材です。日本全国の渓流沿いの肥沃な土地に多く生育しており、特に北海道南部や東北地方など、寒冷地が主な産地となっています。色が淡黄褐色で、美しい木目を持つ比較的軽くて柔らかいため、加工しやすい、耐久性があり、腐りにくい、弾力性があり、衝撃に強い。家具や建築材、器具材、楽器材、彫刻材など、さまざまな用途に用いられています。栃材は日本の伝統的な銘木として、古くからさまざまな用途に用いられてきました。
