【商品説明】 花街のレトロなつづら 葛籠 1950-60年代。大量生産品ではなく、ひとつひとつ職人さんが竹を編むところから作った貴重な当時モノの「葛籠」です。花街の芸妓さんが使用していたもので、屋号や源氏名が入っています。葛籠（つづら）は、元来、ツヅラフジのつるで編んだ蓋つきの籠の一種である。後に竹を使って網代に（縦横に組み合わせて）編んだ四角い衣装箱を指して呼ぶことが一般的になった。
竹製なので軽く、通気性が良く、柿渋と漆の効果で湿度を適宜に保ち、防虫と抗菌の効果がある。耐用年数は100年以上とも言われ、その頑丈さは放り投げてもばらばらになりにくいため、火事などの緊急時に粗雑に扱われても中に保管していたものを守りやすいという特徴を持つ。

Retro Tsuzura Kuzura in the red light district 1950s-60s. Rather than mass-produced items, these ``Kudzu baskets'' are valuable items from the time, made by artisans one by one from bamboo weaving. It was used by geishas in the red light district, and has the shop name and Minamoto name on it. Tsuzura is originally a type of basket with a lid woven from Tsuzura vine vines. Later, it became common to refer to a square costume box made of bamboo woven in wickerwork (combined vertically and horizontally).
Since it is made of bamboo, it is lightweight and has good breathability, and the persimmon astringent and lacquer properties keep the humidity at an appropriate level, and it has insect repellent and antibacterial properties. It is said to have a useful lifespan of over 100 years, and its sturdiness makes it difficult to fall apart even when thrown, making it easy to protect the items stored inside even if it is roughly handled in the event of an emergency such as a fire.
