【商品説明】掛軸「養老の滝」小山栄達 東京・小石川に生れる。初め本多錦吉郎に洋画を学び、のち鈴木栄暁、小堀鞆音に師事、土佐派・狩野派の両派を学ぶ。歴史風俗画会で有識故実を研鑽、明治31年安田靫彦らと紫紅会を結成し、33年今村紫紅を迎え紅児会と改称し活動。38年上野で戦画展を開き注目され、同年?40年「報知新聞」挿絵の仕事に従事。同年東京勧業博覧会「宗任」が3等銅賞となる。44年第5回文展で「兵燹」が初入選。以後も文展、帝展に歴史画や武者絵を出品し入選を重ねた。昭和13年新文展に無鑑査出品となる。この間、紅児会、巽画会にも会員として多数出品。また大正6年町田曲江、矢沢弦月らと芸術社を組織した。
Kakejiku "Yoro Falls" Eitatsu Koyama was born in Koishikawa, Tokyo. At first, he studied Western-style painting under Kinkichiro Honda, and later studied under Eigyo Suzuki and Tomone Kobori, studying both the Tosa and Kano schools. In 1899, he formed Shikokai with Yukihiko Yasuda and others, and in 1900, renamed himself Koujikai after welcoming Shiko Imamura. In 1938, he held an exhibition of war paintings in Ueno, attracting attention. In the same year, "Muneto" at the Tokyo Industrial Expo won the third bronze prize. In 1944, he won a prize for the first time at the 5th Bunten Exhibition. Since then, he has continued to exhibit historical paintings and samurai paintings at the Bunten and Teiten exhibitions, and has been selected. In 1938, it will be exhibited without inspection at the Shinbunten. During this time, he exhibited many works as a member of Kojikai and Tatsumigakai. In 1917, he organized Geijutsusha with Kurae Machida and Gengetsu Yazawa.
